But an interesting fact is 55% do not make it to the platform as they would have missed the security and privacy consideration while developing the application.

About the Championship
App Security Champion is a month-long programme on secure application coding and cybersecurity in partnership with NASSCOM, consisting of a course and “The Great AppSec Hackathon” for college students.
The month-long course to be held in Sep-Oct 2021, comprises of 51.5 hours of learning, 13.5 hours of theory and 38 hours of hands-on exercise. Colleges across Telangana can register students who are pursuing either B.Tech / M.Tech / BCA / MCA (all specializations) or B.Sc/M.Sc (Computers, Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Physics, Maths) or Polytechnic (Computers, Electrical, Electronics, Communications) and are interested in coding.
The month-long event includes:

With self-paced classes and assessments which students can complete as per their convenience.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT FOR COLLEGES
Colleges are requested to appoint a single point of contact, (SPOC). CCoE will be in constant touch with the college SPOCs for the duration of the event via email & WhatsApp groups. SPOC is required to assist in following;
- Provide his/her contact details on the excel sheet.
- Ensure that details captured in the excel sheet for student registration are correct.
- Share the PDF version of the excel on the college letterhead.
- Mail the excel file and the same content on institute’s letterhead as a PDF to us at events.ccoe@dsci.in

Most frequent questions and answers
Can individuals register for the course?
No, CCoE will not accept individual registrations. Students who are willing to participate need to request their college SPOCs and Student project coordinators to register students from your institution.
Eligibility criteria for students to participate?
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Colleges across Telangana can register students who are pursuing either B.Tech/M.Tech/BCA/MCA (all specializations) or or B.Sc/M.Sc (Computers, Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Physics, Maths) or Polytechnic (Computers, Electrical, Electronics, Communications) and are interested in coding. Participation need not be limited to those who are specialising in cybersecurity. Students from colleges across Telangana can apply via their college SPOCs and Student Project Coordinators.
How can college SPOCs and Project Coordinators register?
Colleges can register their interested students by filling out the details in the given excel sheet. SPOCs and PCs can then share the PDF version of the excel on the college letterhead by mailing the same to events.ccoe@dsci.in
What if student already has a Future Skills account?
Students who already have future skills account need to share their details with their respective SPOC’s and then they will be added to the CCoE group which will allow them to take part in the App Security Champion event.
Is there a limit on number of students an institution can register?
No, there is no limit on the number.
Is there any registration fee?
No, this programme is absolutely FREE.

Most frequent questions and answers
It is a month-long course; will it not conflict with students’ academic schedules?
The course is self-paced and hence, flexible. Only the multiple expert sessions are live, however, these are optional. The Great AppSec Hackathon will be held at the end of the course and is currently scheduled for 27th & 28th November 2021.
When does the course start and end?
The course starts on 4th August 2021 and ends on 24th October 2021. We will be sharing a detailed brochure of the course schedule, expert sessions, and The Great AppSec Hackathon with the registered participants soon.
What will students receive after completion of the course?
A Joint participation Certificate and badge will be awarded after the completion of the course.
Is the course trainer led?
No, this is not a trainer-led course, but a couple of hands-on sessions will be held by our partner over the course of 45 days of learning
Do students need to apply separately for The Great AppSec Hackathon?
No, all students who successfully complete the course, will directly be a part of THE GREAT APPSEC HACKATHON
How long is duration of the course?
The course and The Great AppSec Hackathon are scheduled for Sept-Oct 2021. The course contents will be available for students on the Prime platform for 6 months from the date of registration
When can the students enroll for the course on FutureSkills Prime?
Once the college SPOCs register their students via the excel sheet provided on CCoE’s website, our team will get in touch with the students via email and notify them. They will be guided regarding the activation of their FutureSkills account.

The SPOCs will not be issued any certificates by CCoE.
