The Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) hosted an industry visit for 38 faculty members from various engineering colleges to CtrlS Datacenters Ltd as part of a Faculty Development Program (FDP) organized by G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science. During the visit, the faculty members had the opportunity to tour the Security Operations Center (SOC) of CtrlS, where the CtrlS team shared insights on SOC operations and data center management. Additionally, CCoE delivered a lecture on Security Operations Centers and the opportunities available for CCoE-partnered colleges, providing valuable knowledge and networking opportunities for the faculty members.

Industry experts, including Dr. Sai Sushanth Samudrala from SUSHANTH IT LAW ASSOCIATES and Ibrahim Khatri FIP (CIPM, CIPP/E) - Founder & CEO of privEzi, shared their insights on securing data principal consent, drafting impactful notices, and exploring novel approaches to data privacy. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 80 professionals and students from academia and industry, highlighting the collective commitment to #BePrivacyConscious and shape a safer tomorrow.

CCoE presented a glimpse into the incubation programs and unveiled its plans for 2024 and 2025. This event served as a dynamic platform for CCoE-incubated cybersecurity and privacy startups to delve into the strategic goals of incubation and foster potential collaborations within the ecosystem. It encourages sharing thoughts and challenges to customize support while facilitating meaningful conversations with fellow startups and industry experts. Rama Devi Lanka graced the event as chief guest, Srinivas Rao Mahankali, CEO of, T-hub as a distinguished guest, and Raghavendra Hunasgi, Santosh Ganesh, Srinivas Kollipara, and Shyam Penumaka as speakers.

The CCoE team attended the 18th edition of the Annual Information Security Summit (AISS), which took place on December 19-20, 2023. The event covered various cybersecurity and privacy-related topics and witnessed a footfall of 2600+ people. The Summit aimed to facilitate collective learning, experience sharing, and consensus building on security and privacy issues. Speakers from various backgrounds shared their perspectives in multiple sessions. CCoE exhibited a stall at the event, interacted with professionals from the cybersecurity industry and international delegations, and discussed possible areas of collaboration.

He highlighted that cybersecurity is the third biggest problem, with damages from cyberattacks predicted to reach 10.5 trillion by 2025, a 300% increase since 2015. He also emphasized the urgency for policy changes and addressed the role of blockchain in securing digital lives and the cyber industry's approach to tackling deep-fakes. The session was an enriching masterclass in understanding and preparing for the evolving challenges in cyberspace.
